Sara-Jane Case Study
Sara-Jane is a Quantity Surveyor for Rydon Construction currently working on a refurbishment scheme with a project value of £8 million. Her responsibilities include identifying and recruiting the sub-contractors for the job, measuring and reporting progress of the work and keeping a very close watch on the costs involved, producing the necessary reports and making suggestions on possible improvements.
Sara-Jane studied Business Studies, Economics, Psychology and General Studies at A-level and went on to do a Business Studies Management (BA Hons) degree at Greenwich University and an MSc in Quantity Surveying at London South Bank University.
Since joining Rydon she has completed a number of in-house training programmes and is about to undertake her Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) for the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) to become a Chartered Surveyor.
